The Dallas International Motor Speedway (DIMS) was announced with great fanfare in 1969 as the first of the super tracks, but it never met the grand vision of it’s’ developer. Less than five years later, DIMS slipped from the scene, and the site is now a shopping center.
Historian and author Kevin Triplett will trace the often-tragic series of events, making the history of DIMS come alive for Racer’s Reunion attendees through the use of historic photographs and insider information gain through interviews with DIMS participants.
