Pioneer drag racer, Bobby Langley, from Everman, Texas was once described as the childhood hero of accomplished drag racer Kenny Bernstein. Langley’s trademark car, the “Scorpion”, was a beauty that was featured in Life Magazine, Car Craft and Drag News. Langley, a Hall of Fame driver, was a tool and die machinist during the week for General Dynamics, who traveled far and wide collecting countless trophies for his success on weekends at the drag strip.

Langley, Vance Hunt, J.L. Payne and many others were part of the catalyst which propelled the fledging National Hot Rod Association from the local airstrips to main stream America. Today we will hear what made Langley so special to the fans and his competitors.
