Bill Blaylock will review a brief history of tracks in Texas, a history of Arlington Downs as a horse track in the 1930s, its other uses during World War II and the 1940s, and its use for auto racing. This will include a review of midget, sprint car, championship and stock car races held at the Downs, and a discussion of some of the notable cars, drivers and racing stories.
